I am using PayPal Standard. My site is nearly ready to go live. Every time I try to checkout everything works good until I confirm the order and I am sent to PayPal I get an error "things don't seem to be working at the moment please try again later"  as per PayPal the Cause
"As of March 29, 2017, PayPal has updated to a new, streamlined checkout experience" 
They sent me a site to correct the problem
Thank you for contacting PayPal. This is tied to a recent change to the HTML coding that will be read by the PayPal servers. If you go to paypal.com/mts and click on the first link under "Common Questions" (My Payments Standard integration isn't processing transactions. What should I do?) and follow the instructions in the article to fix the HTML coding of your PayPal button so it will translate the information to our servers correctly. Hope this answers your question.
does anybody know how to fix this problem? :-[

Hello.
We have checked latest AbanteCart 1.2.10 with PayPal Standard payment method and it work without issues at least in USD currency.

Can you please provide and example of order you try to process and fail? I mean the order currency, order total amount, product name and price, the storefront language was used for transaction... etc?

I am using Canadian funds
will try and use US fundss

will work great with US Funds but will give an error with Canadian $
will check with paypal and see why everything is in US $ only??????

 :-[  found the problem had the wrong code for Canadian $ CND should be CAD
So that was a frustrating week  :)

Strangely after the upgrade to 1.2.10 we're seeing Paypal orders come through with a "Failed" order status (we're using GBP as a currency which is valid on PayPal)

The messages table shows:
Failed or missing response from payment verification. Manual verification is required! this link

Also very strange is the fact that not all PayPal orders fail, I have tried with no luck to replicate the error but of the 22 PayPal orders we've had since our upgrade 14 have been in the failed state.

anybody have any ideas?

You got this warning because have different email addresses in paypal standart settings on your AbanteCart side and on your paypal account (receiver email).

you might possibly be correct, we have 2 email addresses setup in PayPal but:
- our primary email address on PayPal matches out address as configured in the paypal standart plugin.
- only 14 of 22 orders have failed in no specific order or frequency

I'll change the address and see if it makes a difference, any other ideas?

Hi All,

So I removed the second address in my PayPal config so now AbanteCarts config matches PayPal... same error occurred, I had a few more PayPal orders and out of 5 only 1 failed... I did a code compare between the 1.2.10 master and our running default_pp_standart extension the code is identical.

Anybody got any ideas?

Hello.
What about test mode? Create PayPal sandbox account to check transactions in test mode. If you can replicate same with sandbox check your sandbox PayPal account recent notifications

Good Morning,

  I have both Paypal Pro and Express set up on my e-cart I have the same API credentials for both, When a sales notification comes to me, if The buyer uses Paypal pro, I seems to get a description of the item purchased, however when they use Paypal Express, I do not get the Item purchased in the mail notification from my store.

I'm using AbanteCart, and the API test comes back that it's installed successfully. To be quite honest, I'm not sure if this is a cart issue or a paypal issue.
