Title: Assign model number or SKU to attributes

I have several products where the customer can select different options of the product.  However, when the item is added to the cart, it shows the description to be correct but the model number is for the main product.  I would like to have the model number reflect the attribute information also.

Example: ProductModelNumber-2XL

Is this possible or is there an extension that will do this?

I should have looked further before posting this question.  I did find if I expand the option values that I am able to enter a unique model number and weight for each option.

However, the model number does not appear in the cart.  Can someone tell me how to make the model number appear in the cart when using option values?
