Title: how to respond to messages?

I have customers sending messages and asking questions about my products and I cannot figure out how you respond to them through AbanteCart.

I have tired systems/settings/messages and I can read the customers message but how do I respond to them?

Check the mailbox for your store email

I just checked my store email in C panel and there is no new email.

I know there is a message because I could read it in AbanteCart but just could not figure how to respond to it.

Is there a tutorial in the AbanteCart Manuel on how to set it up to work?

Your customers can write you a message only from contact us form. It is directly connected to you mail.
What you see in admin is just a copy to inform you in case mail fail.

Contact you hosting support on how to make your mail work. This is not AbanteCart related
Or change your store email to some more stable like gmail

I will contact my hosting company and ask them for help.
