Title: Does Maintenance Mode Allow Google Bot Bypass?

When maintenance mode is enabled, can bots bypass this and still access the content?

I know some WP plugins offer this functionality but just wondered if AC does this organically.  I would like to put my site into maintenance mode while I populate the products but would like it to be indexed while in maintenance mode.

Google will see maintenance mode as well.
