Hi,
This is my first time using AbanteCart, I spent 2 days looking through all the available carts and settled for this one. I have successfully installed the software, tinkered with the design fairly easily to suit my site and configured most of it. I'm very impressed so far except i can't get it to do the one thing it needs to do and that's except just paypal payments.
I have gone to the Extensions/payments section and enabled the paypal extension (default_pp_standart) but when i go in to edit the paypal settings there are some things I can't change.
Store: default (that's fine)
Status: (is on)
E-Mail: (i've entered the email i've got registered with my paypal account)
Test Mode: (there's nothing in this box and no options to select!)
Order Status: (I've set to processing)
Transaction Method: (again, no options or anything)
Location: (This is stuck on USA - but I'm in the UK)
I have enabled Royal Mail for shipping although i haven't looked into that side of it yet to get that working, i wanted to get the paypal working first.
When i do a test purchase it bypasses paypal and just says thanks your order is being processed, or something like that.
I really like AbanteCart and i want to stick with it for this and future projects but i have to be able to get this paypal problem sorted. I'm sure it's just me and there's something obvious i'm not doing. The other thing is I haven't actually logged into my paypal account at all for this, do i need to do that at all to get paypal linked to the website?
Hope you can help!

Hi,
Just to update things, i have managed to change the default location to UK and set up my weight-based shipping but still have the problem with Paypal.
When i try to place an order i get: error: payment method required!
In the paypal extension the Test Mode and Transaction Method fields are still empty with no options to select anything.
..help!

Cleared all the cache and that looks like it's working OK now!
seo links don't work for me though, i renamed the .htacess file as instructed but still no luck.

Got the seo links working by opening and renaming the .htacess file as instructed and then opening the file and adding the sub directory where i installed the cart:
RewriteBase /abantecart/
I know the developers will probably think that's obvious but i thought i'd explain how i resolved it in case anyone else had the same issue.
