Ended up uploading the most recent USPS_default extension and calling the USPS on the telephone. The person I spoke to changed my settings and it now works...but only for USPS Priority Mail--not First Class parcels. Decided to offer Flat Rate shipping also, and will ship First Class when people make that selection. (I sell tee shirts, so they don't weight much!)

I did upgrades through version 1.9 (manually) but the admin screen still shows I'm running Ver. 1.5. Since the website seems to be running fine--and the USPS extension now works--I am not attempting further updates.

I know I'm a little late on this, but I do need to update my USPS api extension to V.4. The secure shipping link mentioned above gives the following error message:

Can anyone help me with this? I have not kept up with all the updates--as I know I will probably break my site by trying to doing so. (Actually, I already did and had to have it restored.) So I'm hoping to update the USPS api without having to install any updates.

Can a slider be added at any point during the construction/design of the shopping cart, or must it be done at the beginning? (should it be showing up in the drop downs on the layouts page?)

I did find "content_top" under "Blocks", but it can only be viewed, not edited, even though it says it is associated with the Home Page. I'm clearly not understanding something...

I have been testing the checkout section of my cart. The "Guest Checkout" works fine. However, when I try to use "Register Account" and fill out all required fields, there is no "Continue" button, so I can't complete the registration. (I am not requiring customers to agree to terms.) What could I be doing wrong?

Perhaps I don't understand the meaning of  "slider". I am hoping to be able to have my customers view my "latest" products in the home page by "sliding" the .jpg pictures back and forth across the screen. As instructed, I turned the "slider" extension on. I then went to "Design/Layouts" and clicked on "Home" page. The instructions say I should now add the slider to the "content_top" section. What, exactly, should I be adding to the "content_top" section? In addition, I can't find anything called "content-top" on the layout for the Home Page. Where will I find it?

After too many years, I have thrown in the towel on Zen Cart and have decided to give AbanteCart a try. So far, I'm finding it so much easier to navagate, but I have run into a little problem that I hope someone can assist me with. I am a tee shirt printer and need to set up my store so people can order shirts in various sizes and colors. At first, I set things up in the Global Attributes to use multiselectboxes. However, as I input products and played with various options, I decided to change to checkboxgroups instead. I switched to checkboxgroups in the "Attribute Type" dropdown field in the Global Attributies section (and saved my changes), but the product pages still displayed the multiselect boxes. Today, I added two new color choices in the Global Attributes. To my surprise, the shirts with the "new" colors display checkboxes on their product pages. However, my earlier products are still displaying multiselect boxes.  (My husband, who is a long-time software engineer, thanks that perhaps the php files are not being re-rendered when changes are made to the Global Attributes.) Can anyone help me with this?
