The problem was resolved by the hosting tech's and I asked how they did it.

The issue was within the file 'install/init.php' . I had to include an additional code 'define('SESSION_ID', 'PHPSESSID_AC');' in order to override and resolve the issue.

Been trying to install AbanteCart, it does license, compatibility check, then database setup then back to license.


I have worked with ipage who is my ISP they ran debug and fixed all errors:

"I have corrected the session path and disabled the register_global in the file php.ini. However, still third step in the installation page is redirecting to first page. It seems to be the application is not connecting to the database that is the reason it is not generating the database tables in 3 step. Please contact the application vendor and ask them how exactly the application is connecting to the database. We support following database connection function : mysql_connect and mysql_pconnect on our server. I have uploaded test database script at robertgeorgeca.ipage.com/test.php which is working fine."

I have a phpinfo on the site    niagarapoolsupply.ca/phpinfo.php

nothing is showing up in the error logs.

Have tried rolling back to php 5.2 and 5.3

we dunno where to go from here.   Is there way to manually install?
