Thanks for the link, I've read that page but there are no opinions on what is best practice (i.e. brings in the most money) for delivery/postage - to charge or not to charge, that is the question!

I'm in the process of setting up my GiftWare site and I'm not sure whether it's best to include delivery in your prices so there is no delivery charge or is it best to charge a one off price for delivery say, £2.99 - maybe free delivery over a certain price break like £10 or £15 etc. and keep your prices as low as you can without worrying about posting them at a loss for example?

I'm in the process of setting up my AbanteCart shop.  I've got quite a mixture of different items with various quantities.  Some items I have 40+ off and others just 1 or 2.  I guess on average I have approx 4-6 of each item.  Once I've got a few months of sales I can see what sells and buy more of that kind of item.


The question I have, is bearing in mind a lot of my stock will be low quantities, should I list the quantities on my website?  For me there's nothing worse than trying to order 5 of something only to be told at the checkout there isnt enough stock and then I have to keep lowering it until I get to the actual amount in stock.


What looks better, no quantities or lots of fairly low quantities?

What do you do on your website?

Is is possible to group products together as a separate item that takes in to consideration stock levels of each individual item?


For example, if I have three different (but related items) that I want to sell individually but also as a pack, do I have to split my stock or is there a way within AbanteCart I can set up a pack and when one if the items reaches 0 stock level the pack disables, but the remaining in-stock individual items are still for sale.

OK, thanks for that I'll take a look at that when I've finished putting all my stock in to AbanteCart. 

Are there any reports (or is there an easy way) I can see the total value of stock in my AbanteCart store - i.e. total wholesale value of all stock listed and total retail value of all stock?
