I tried to backup my store by going into the Admin section and Clicking on Data/Backup something seems to happen I get an animated circle, and then the screen goes blank. At first I thought it was my browser, but this happens on Firefox too.

Could you please help?

Hello,

I'd like  to change the appearance of my cart as follows :-

1. I'd like all prices to appear as bold
2. I'd like to change the colour of the font to Black instead of grey in the shopping cart

3. Change the size of the font in "your order has been processed".
I tried to look at the storefront/default/stylesheet.css but couldn't quite understand where this coudl be done.

I did try to create a Visit US section, however it seems to default to a Video class.
I tried deleting and recreating with out success.

I would like to have a Visit Us section on the home page which has a photo of the shop.

I would like to change the message on the page above so that it gives the user a phone number to call so they can give their credit card details.
I couldn;t find the file I needed to do this.

I now have a great shopping cart that works the way I want it to.

I simply had to adjust the prices to account for the tax that was added on top.

Thank you - that certainly helped. The problem was the exchange rate was set.

The prices now appear correctly  - but unfortunately only when I set the tax class to None
I will look into the other suggestions later as I need to get my kids to bed.

Thanks for that - I did the following :-

Countries - switched status to OFF for all except United Kingdom
Zones - switched status to OFF for all except United Kingdom
I have only one location - United Kingdom
Tax Classes - Only one Class - "Taxable Goods" with Rate of 20% - Location Zone is All location Zones

I have an item that costs 4.99 - it shows up as 3.86 when I put it in the cart, the tax is calculated as 0.64 (this is not 20%)

What am i doing wrong?

I'm nearly there with my cart - but I am struggling with the taxes.

I'd like my storefront to treat everyone as though they are from the UK and display prices with taxes.
I set up a tax zone and tax class, have set the display prices with tax to on in the checkout.

regardless of whether I set the tax zone to none - or UK tax, it still does not display the product prices with taxes.

Please help - if this doesn't work then I may be forced to use another cart system as this is a showstopper.

This is now working correctly. It was a Doh moment.

I had forgotten that I had changed my email address - it was a gmail account when I tried to reset the password, google forced me to upgrade to google+.

I was so incensed that I had no option to use simple gmail, that I decided to use a non gmail account.

Once again I'd like to congratulate you on a super shopping cart!

I've just set up Abantecart - I had not heard of it before and had used OS Commerce several years ago.

Let me say that it is really nice from what i can see so far.

My problem is that the store owner is not receiving email notifications when an order is placed.
The customer is receiving emails just fine.

My apologies if this has been asked before and has a Doh answer  to it .

After a lot of searching, I decided to choose Abantecart. The design looks very nice, however I am frustrated by a problem that I'm hoping someone can help me with.
I simply cannot get the mail notification to work :-
My email settings are :

ssl://smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port: 465

I get the following errors
