how do I hide the 0 stock and empty categories from public view?

How-to questions / removing hamburger menu in mobile version of home page

I am building my first test store, and I am feeling my way around. Link below
On the home page I have the layout header set to have a color and a graphic by changing .headerstrip in the css, and disabling the header block in the layout. I have enabled the category block in the header bottom section of the layout.
It looks good on a desktop, and would work well on a mobile if the hamburger menu did not appear - it does not trigger links when clicked.
How do I get rid of the hamburger?
My domain is sigwebdesign, it is a dot com address and the folder containing the page is /shopping (It would not let me link a url)

I'm very new to Abantecart, but not new to web design.
I've been looking at the embed example (embed demo on the Abantecart website)
Is it possible to build a web site in one domain (e.g mycompany.com) and link to Abantecart hosted on another domain (e.g mycompanystore.com) in a similar way to the embed example? I would like to try and recreate a similar page to the embed example, with popups linked to the store features.
Is there a tutorial on this?
