I installed the latest version and have been trying to get the categories to show up in the left column but so far no luck. I have tried to generate a block, make sure it is on, tried to put it in the left column but no luck.
Are there clear instructions somewhere on how to achieve this ?

By the way, it does show up if i add that block to the header so something is preventing the left column from showing.

I have done that several times but i did follow all the steps and it still won't show up on the home page or product page after i add it to the left column, as a matter of fact when i add it to the left column and save that block stays greyed out. I notice there is an icon that says enable/disable  which when i select it doesn't do anything so you really don't know if it is enabled or disabled.

I just installed a fresh version 1.2.15  and trying to get the category listing on the left of the page.
Selected Design/Layouts selected home page from the dropdown and added Category to the Column left. However it appears to stay greyed out after i save and won't show on the left.
Below is the information but that doesn't seem to tell me much. Is it possible to get the category listing on the left ?

I was reading this
The correct link to admin is based on what is set during the installation process of the AbanteCart. yourdomainname.com/index.php?s=[your_admin]  [your_admin] is provided during installation and can be located in system/config.php AFTER installation.

I have no idea where that would be in the config file, there is no mention of Your_admin.

Using latest version just installed
When i go to the admin i get the 403 forbidden so i changed the adminpath to
define('ADMIN_PATH',
'https://
URL/admin/index.php');  and i still can't get in
I didn't change the UniqueID or the encryption key.
I have ssl installed
Any ideas ?
