i am creating a website to sell my custom designed visiting cards and other printed works

i want to be able for the customer to upload a file and preview it . is that possible.

ideally i would like a whole module for customer designed visiting cards - sort of like vistaprint but if that is not possible at least have the customer see what he uploaded.

can i also have some product options/customization only on checkout instead of during the window shopping stage (so to speak)

Hi,
I have been waiting for answers to this theme of customer uploads for nearly a week with no response.
Have you found a way to delete the entries if need be? The data can be found in the file system but the I cant find the database that controls the entries which don't seem to be able to be deleted.

Any help, most appreciated.

You can add file upload as option to your products

Another option is add a file upload to order (not attached to products) in this case you need an Order Attributes extension

I have been trying to figure out how a customer can preview their uploaded image in the product section before placing their order so they know it is the right image they want on some of my personalized items as well as the check out page, but cannot figure out where to initiate the script for it. I can do it adding a script to the page itself using a block, customers can preview their image, but it won't add it to the order because it is not part of the Abantecart image upload script attached to the actual product order form. I also cannot find an extension for it.

This is indeed a great idea for an extension! Since there isn't an existing extension that meets your needs, it might be best to hire a developer to create a custom solution for you.
