Purchase multiple quantity of product available in varied colors

Greetings,

I have a couple of products that are available in multiple colors and varied quantities of each color in stock.  I have them listed with an option to choose desired color but some customers buy more than one of these at a time.  Is it possible that the customer can purchase multiple pieces in different colors?

Hi Abolabo - thanks for taking the time to assist me with understanding this. 

The screenshot shows a particular item that I have in stock which is available in 5 colors - from any cart I've used to date if a customer wants one in green and one in red for example, he/she would need to add one to their cart and then go back and choose another color to add to the cart instead of being able to order 1 red and 1 green directly from the product page which would result in the cart showing the item quantity as 2 and the different colors desired, one green and one red.  In other words, two transactions for the same item if 2 are desired and each one of them in a different color.  Hope that makes sense.
