Adding a facebook like button

Hi all,
I'm having a bit of problem in adding the facebook like button code to a product page, it just will not show live on the website, even when I am trying all the different codes supplies to add to the website? Any idea's anyone?

Create HTML block with facebook code and enable it on product page layout
