Uploaded (csv import) products not showing

new install of version 123 does not show products, although when Exported all products do show. Cached cleared but products still not shown.

The screenshot is quite large with over 200 rows. The screenshot shows the first 25 rows. Just another note there were no error messages.

I was actually referring to the screenshot of what a product listing looks like within Abantecart...

I don't know if the format is supposed to be different, but from the 1st column, should it be "insert" instead of "import"?

Also, should it be "option"?  I have "action" in my csv file.

TL:DR: my 1st column is:

action
insert
insert
insert
.
.
.
etc...

Also, if you have DB experience, the word "insert" is just what databases have used from as long as I can remember to add a new line...I don't know where you got the word import from, but my guess is that's not the correct syntax and causing the problems.  This is an example where more computer background is good overall (took many db classes years ago).

Big goof. However, the products are in the cart and the download shows them. I actually had the file that was exported from the cart and added  option and import in Row A Column 1 before sending it. I made the corrections you suggested however and still no display. How do I clear these products so I can start over?

Are the products even showing up in the admin tool?  Under Catalog -> Products?  You can just delete them from there if you wanted to retry to import.

Also, one thing I've noticed is that html formatting or things you may copy from 1 website to another can break the import in Abantecart.  If you have very long descriptions, you may want to delete it all or try a few records first.

Hi, I have tried everything except the solution. My products are in the site because I can see them if I do a search on the entire site search bar. I can edit, add image save with confirmation that the changes were saved but still no display in products. I have cleared cache and switched the product.date_available with the products .date_added date and still no display in products. Can anyone help?

If I was in your shoes, I'd delete the current setup and just reload everything and load the demo data as well.  See if that stuff shows up correctly at all.  It's really hard to debug without looking at it directly to see what maybe causing the issue.

Having ran into numerous problems in my own setup, my general thoughts on all this is if only I am complaining about it, then it's probably just my environment and something is out of whack.  Could be simple, hard, just impossible to say and starting from scratch is my advice.

That said, I've rebuilt, reloaded this app 10-20 times easy...since I break stuff and don't know what I did (more often when I was learning a bit more)...

Sorry I don't have a better answer, but as the environment is new and you aren't live yet, it's good to know what's causing this NOW vs. when you are online already and this happens again.

At least get a baseline sorta working, then tweak what you have.
