Embedded cart cannot checkout by PayPal; regular cart ok

If I set up my cart as a regular webpage then the checkout works with PayPal and PayPal express and I can complete my purchase.

I am trying to embed my cart into an existing webpage. Yhe embedded cart works as expected (exactly as shown in the AbanteCart eCommerce embed code demo here: abantecart.com/embed_demo/index.html). However, when I then click through to PayPal or PayPal express to complete the purchase I just get a blank page, no PayPal checkout.

Has anyone been able to get paypal/paypal express to work using an embedded cart? Do I need to change something in PayPal or in my cart setup?

I have checked with developers and paypal standard is not possible with "embed mode" This is due to PayPal redirects approach that will not work in embed window.
Try other payment methods for example PayPal Pro
