Email alerts not working

Hi

i have a problem after the upgrade of abantecart 1.2.12

after the upgrade no additional email alerts are sent and also on order creation no email are sent.

Can anyone please help?? i searched the forum if anybody has this problem but did not find anything.

Do you have any mail related errors in the server and AbanteCart logs?
I notice also sometimes after upgrade mod_security block a lot of features

there isn't any mail errors in abantecart logs and no mail errors in error logs on the server.

i also noticed that when an order is placed i don't receive an email notification

What mail method you are using, MAIL or SMTP?

I am using Mail but trying to configure SMTP
