Help with GMAIL sending mail

Hi Folks,

New to Abante Cart and having email issues.  I get this when I try to do order updates, i triple checked password case sensitve etc...:

Make sure your SSL is valid.
Also are you connecting to SMTP, what email provider?

Gmail have a lot of limitation to start work with it.
First you need to enable IMAP, then you have to enable "less secure apps" to connect to you Gmail

Yes, did all that, confiemd password, same results.

This looks like some server or networking issue. What is the OS and PHP version?

PHP version: 5.6.30
AbanteCart Version 1.2.13

I suggest to upgrade PHP if possible. That might help.

I looked online for this error and all said that this is a problem with connection protocol

Try to ask your hosting company for help
