Need help uploading Google Verification File

Where do I upload this file?  I tried making a new block and putting it on the front page, but it shows up on the page, and besides, Google could not verify the site.  Evidently, the google verification file has to have it's own url.

From what I remember Google Verification File is uploaded to main web directory. Usually, is is public_html or htdocs
This is different host to host. Check with your hosting control panel to identify your web directory
