Can open the admin page.

A new installation of AbanteCart 1.1.5 has been completed. The details of the installation are shown below:

Admin URL : blackleafpipes.com/AbanteCart/index.php?s=blp_admin

I try to open "blackleafpipes.com/AbanteCart/index.php?s=blp_admin" in firefox (or IE or Safari) and it errors with the following:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to blackleafpipes.com.

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

Its a new domain about a week old. Is it a hosting issue or?

usually this mean that server responsing plain text via ssl-connection.. something wrong with ssl-settings of web-server..
also check permission for files index.php and php.ini in hosting provider's CPanel .. if it have 777 change it to 644 and then check.
If it will not solve ask hosting provider support about this.

Thanks will talk to web provider - I check the permissions of the files you suggested and they are correct 644. I have several sites which are older. I will check an installation on them and see - they are personal stuff, but a testcase would help...
