Add min max fields to products and options so low stock reports can be generated. If a store owner has hundreds of physical products it is a very time consuming process to keep up with low levels. Do a stock level assessment on let say 200 products and options by using the product listing grid. If you are at 0 stock on a item you just lost sales until you reorder from your supplier and receive shipment. Could be days to a week of lost sales on a busy site. Need a better inventory control system.

You have a quantity column in the products grid. Sort by quantity to see low-stock products.
Also you can enable Default Stock Checkout to allow customers to pre-order or purchase products with no stock
