Installation and Configuration / Re: Bug with checkout?
« on: June 16, 2021, 03:02:52 PM »
as an assistance to admins who aren't use to working in the code or where different things are found with in the AbanteCart files  we often post a "patch file" in our WHY2 AbanteCart Information Hub

We have done so for this fix from core devs.

There is also a clickable link to how to  install via cPanel.

Hope this will assist you.

The Why2 Support Team
a third-party developer of extensions and integrations

And more's the pity you assumed we didn't look at it!.   However,  we also assumed you could see the edit button on the right side. :D
Seems we both might have been in error.

Attached screen shot so you can see ALL of the  fields.

Hopes it helps you.

the warning error has told you the issue.  -  If you want a different weight class to be the default you need to set it to 1.0000.
Which ever wt class is 1.0000 becomes the default.  System will not let you delete the default class.

Once you set a new weight class to 1.0000 for default  then you can delete any other one(s) you wish.

If you have more than one class,  you need to set the parameters for it as a function of your default class

there is a typo in the manual  (the core devs will correct the typo)

Just click on the Extension > Shipping>  Weight Based
the rest of the manual page is correct.

this is available in the MarketPlace.  Perhaps it will work easily for you.

If you are using AbanteCart v 1.3.0,  you should contact the developer before buying as it doesn't seem to have a 1.3.0 version yet.

custom templates have different coding.

Perhaps  ask the developer of your template for assistance.

just some FYI about currency formatting around the world.

Most European countries (as well many other countries in the world):
300.000 or 300 000 means three hundred thousand
€120.000,99 or €120 000,99 means one hundred twenty thousand euros and ninety-nine cents

The UK (plus other countries in the world, like the US, Australia, and New Zealand):
300,000 means three hundred thousand
€120,000.99 means one hundred twenty thousand euros and ninety-nine cents

SI System:
300 000 means three hundred thousand
€120 000,99 or €120 000.99 means one hundred twenty thousand euros and ninety-nine cents

if you google  country codes  you will see lots of places for the ISO list

I like this one a lot as it has the 2 and 3 alpha as well as the numeric in a grid form

I am unclear where you are exporting from.  If from an AbanteCart installation  the customer complete address is exported using the export feature in the admin dashboard.

as to the states:
there is one of these for each country.   Note:   the designation of US-AL  you would use only AL for the state of Alabama in the US address

Hi UniCornDesign,
We're WHY2 in the MarketPlace and we have several enhanced shippers including one for FedEx.  This is not a suggestion to buy our extension,  but we do have some really great manuals  and it will help you to understand what you need to do for the correct creds for the FedEx extension,  including the default one you are working with.   The part about the creds is in the setup section about half way thru it.

You can find the manual here:

oh  that is disappointing,  most devs with the MarketPlace are responsive to issues.

But a bit curious,  if it didn't work in 1.2.16 and there a lot of changes in 1.3.0,  interesting that you didn't think to turn it off to see if it was still an issue.  But hindsight  is always "smarter" than when one is in the battle.

Cheers nuno,
least you know to not use it currently.

I wonder if you followed my recommendation for updating a cart version?

It is ALWAYS best to check all third party extensions for versions that state they work on the cart version you are updating to.,8997.msg35647.html#msg35647

is your cPanel enabled for you to change your php versions using  multiphp manager?   If so ,  then using MultiPHP ini editor , basic mode tab
compare the settings in the 7.0  that is working for you and the 7+ that is not.  Depending on your host the php ini for each version can differ.  You may be able to set your php ini configs within your cPanel or you may need to make the request for your host to do so.

In our many installations we find php 7.3 and 7.4  work correctly if the php ini is set correct.   And our testing shows php 8.0  is working well if 1.3.0 cart version.

It happens sometimes,  just use CNTL+F5 key to clear your browser and it should refresh to the smaller (normal size)

Regarding the wordpress here is the link to the manual info:

A word of caution to AbanteCart users  that have extensions purchased from the MarketPlace:

PRIOR to updating your cart version to the latest 1.3.0,   check your extensions and be sure there is a version that supports the 1.3.0.

Even though the beta 1.3.0  was announced a couple of weeks ago,  it usually takes MarketPlace devs a few days to test the FINAL release with this extensions to ensure all is working together.

Once you determine all your MarketPlace extensions have a version noted to support the newest 1.3.0,  then schedule your updating for one session -  Cart first,  then each of the MP extensions.

Don't forget to test on a non-live site for any issues.  For those of you who have Softaculous in your cPanel (or the equivalent)  there are cloning and staging that will assist.   For more details on Softaculous you can refer to our WHY2 AbanteCart Information Hub FAQs

The 1.3.0  has some good updates and fixes in it.  Enjoy,  but update properly.
