Yes,  i understood previously  that you installed manually. 

BUT,  if you have cPanel and Softaculous  you can import your current installation into Softaculous for better management.   It is NOT a new installation,  it is an import of the existing installation.  Nothing will change, in your current installation.  It just allows you to do more things, with less hassle.

If you have Softaculous in your cPanel,  this will add the ability to change your admin password  which is your current issue.   It will also add the ability to clone or stage your existing site to test what is any issue you may have in updating your cart version or just testing out something new  -  all WITHOUT impacting your existing site.

If you have cPanel and Softaculous,  you can import an existing AbanteCart installation  to Softaculous. You will not need to know your Admin password.  Only need to be on the Softaculous app within your cPanel.

Yes  your assumption that the service is free,  is incorrect. 
AbanteCart interface is provided free of charge so that the TextMarketer  can easily be connected  to you cart.  But the service provided by Textmarketer or Twilio  are paid services that require you to sign up pay for their usage.

Perhaps you had previously set up a TextMarketer account and have forgotten it  or your payment form has expired. 

Hopefully this will get you on the path to solve your issue.

yes,  and it is easy to do.   You can add abantecart in a subfolder    site  or shop or some name  you want to use.
and add a link in your existing home page for /store

Hi Tim,

two things -  first  perhaps it is a typo  but I think you are on cart version 1.2.16  not 1.2.6

Secondly,  if you have your installation attached to softaculous via your cpanel   you can change your admin password there.

Hi Devs,  Happy 2023!!

Please provide some clarity on several settings regarding compression levels,  I find the info you AbanteCart docs confusing as to the actually application.

1.    Output compression level -  the compression level  is applied when a customer on storefront makes a request.  The compression is applied to the entire page, not just images?  The HIGHER the compression setting the MORE compress is applied.
Do you have any stats on the increase on server at different compression settings?

2.   Jpeg Images Compression -   this affects ONLY thumbnails?  And is it applied the first time a thumbnail is generated and it remains compressed until cache is cleared?  Or is it each time the image is called?

I am not trying to be contrary,  only to let you know I believe your comment that you are on a dedicated server,  and your IP address is unique to our server.  Just to be sure you understand,  the IP is unique to the server,  but it is NOT unique to your domain.   Currently Reverse IP Lookup Results — 3 domains hosted on IP address
The other two and appear to have the potential of high traffic.

Yes,  there are quite a few fields you can add to options.   This is an image from one of our How2 articles. 

This is the parameters for the weight fields in options that you need to be aware of:

23. Weight: Enter the weight difference between the base product and the variant. This will also use an adjusted weight for the option product so shipping rates are calculated correctly.

24. Weight Type: Select the weight calculation method. If value provided as %(percent) variant weight will be changed by specified percent based on the main product weight. If value provided as fixed it will be used as absolute value for the variant, base product weight will be ignored. e.g. Base product weight is 4 lb, you set the weight to 1 and the weight type is “%”, customer will see 4.04 lb. If the weight type is “Pound”, customer see 1 lb.

Out of necessity of getting a solution for our client after 2 months wait and some unnecessary problems for users of the Stripe Connector, we looked for a solution ,  it is posted

Perhaps,  when your  "at some point" time comes you may find a different solution, but for now ours is tested and it works.

It remains my opinion that as the provider of a 3rd party integration for Stripe,  I must remark  that 3rd party integration requires Partner status with Stripe and Partner status generates a revenue stream back to AbanteCart.  I have no issue with AbanteCart having the revenue stream,  my issue is your complete lack of caring about a reported problem  and not fixing it in over 2 months.  In essence shirking your responsibility  to fix issues on your app. 

Gosh,  that is a stunning reply.  You consider this to be an improvement request?  It is not,  it is a request for a fix. Your previous Stripe app (prior to the connector)  worked correctly.  Maxter's  subscription app works correctly.   It is just your new Connector app for Stripe that is incorrect.

Surely  in the 2 months that you have been made aware of this problem for a payment application supplied by AbanteCart (and you are an authorized integrator with Stripe) you could have found the time to repair your app. 

You should be able to contact Stripe Support for devs and they can give you a fix. 
Perhaps I should work thru with Stripe to see if they can provide you the correct coding for your connector for your authorized integration?

Is it possible to switch back to the old Stripe App?   
Maybe Maxter can provide you a quick answer?

Hi Core Devs -  this is now reaching a critical mass of issue.   Even though you made a GitHub on Nov 8,  and have ignored my plea on Nov 16 for a resolve  (I have clients that have customers who are quite upset with the order number only appearing in their card statements.)
There remains no change.

Today  I have an escalated issue from a client :
..having an issue with what is appearing on customers credit card statements for a description of their purchase. Well today  ( Jan 5) I had a customer who disputed a charge on an order the beginning of November and around Black Friday.  She said her statement just had a phone number on it.   I did reach out to my contact at stripe and he gave me this information.  It looks like it is set up correctly in stripe on my end so now I'm wondering if this is something to do with the website. 

Stripe support to my client:
Looks like you're using Stripe through a 3PI platform,, so please reach out to them first (or navigate around their platform) to see if the statement descriptor is something you need to modify on through their platform.

As you can see it is the descriptor issue that I reported in Nov.

Please,  please  fix this!!

do you have cdn enabled?

did you perhaps close the admin panel after you cleared the cache , usually just need to do the images
