No, we do not have any issues with jpg or png files. It seems the hosting site IT team made some changes that seem to help considerably. Here below is there response:
"We've reviewed the issue reported on your website and found that it was likely related to PHP's memory limit settings not properly reflecting on the site.

To address this, we have created a .user.ini file within the root directory of your site and increased the PHP memory_limit to 2048M (2GB). This change ensures that your application has access to more memory, which can help prevent memory-related errors during operation.

At this time, no further errors are appearing in the logs, but we recommend that you test the site and let us know if you experience the same issue again. We appreciate the productive communication with the AbanteCart IT team during this process."

We have a solution from our webhosting support team, that appears it has indeed fixed a couple of issues on Abantecart. Sharing their response below:

Ok Thanks, I will submit this to our webhosting tech staff to see if they can make this change to the php.ini file, this is a bit out of my expertise level.
One question though as this problem surfaced with the newer 1.4.2 version and did not exist with the 1.4.1 version.
Is it safe to say this newer version came with a php.ini file with that 10mb entry in the file?

Attached is a snipet from the error log (Abantecart). Problem with insufficient memory on the webhosting site??

More problems with 1.4.2 on a fresh install. When attempting to add and edit a new (first product) receive this:

"Looks like there's a problem with this site

https://garlicstore.copperkfarm.com/index.php?rt=catalog/product/update&product_id=127&s=admin123&token=GSW0p3do7Wijok2yFiiWx0f4SorAr1rI might have a temporary problem or it could have moved.

Error code: 500 Internal Server Error

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments."

Ok, I received this message from the IT team at our webhosting site. Not sure if backing down to PHP 8.3 would help, any comments would be appreciated. Thank You!"
"Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us and for trusting and using our services.

After checking, the GD library version installed on your cPanel hosting is 2.3.3, which is the most stable version currently supported by cPanel. You can also check the version by accessing the following  , this page will display the GD library version currently in use on your hosting.
In terms of compatibility, this version is supported on PHP versions 7.4.x through 8.3.x.

Since you are currently using PHP version 8.4, we recommend switching to PHP version 8.3 using the PHP Selector in your cPanel, as it may offer better compatibility with the GD library.

And perhaps , could you also kindly elaborate in more detail on how the error appears, especially if it's related to the WebP cannot loades issue. That way, we can investigate further from our side.

Thank you for taking the time to respond and helping out. I will forward your information to our web-hosting IT staff and see if we can get this corrected. I thought for sure I had a screen shot of the errors, but was unable to find them. Anyways that's water over the damn now as we upgraded to 1.4.2 (fresh install) and now adding content into it. BYT Abantecart has really nice front end, and hopefully will get all our products in for the upcoming market season. Again Thank You for your time....

Upgrade / Re: upgrading from V.1.4.1 to V. 1.4.2

Thank you,  I had made a significant contribution, however I never received any type of receipt, which is beneficial for my business tracking. If and when receipts are automatically sent to contributors after they contribute,  I will again contribute. Having said that I appreciate all your work and for all of those in the open source world.

Thank you. I am not dev person, but will do my best to try this.....

Not all of us are dev's. There are many apps out there that provide both an easy upgrade, and a strong defense. We know because we have used them and upgrades are secure and seamless. These Abantecart upgrades have become intimidating and that should not happen. We just want to have the best products to present to our customers.

Hoping this message still gets some recognition. As this post is relevant to the problem we have with inodes filling up on our hosting site. However the script in this message is not a link just text. Anyone know where we can find this clear_cache.sh ?
Thank You,

I am also working through problems with upgrade (1.4.2), permissions, as well as ftp unable to log on etc. Abantecart needs to create a better system for upgrading through hosting sites (A2webhosting) if I find anything substantial I will post again....in the mean-time I am also stuck in the ditch....

I looked at the third party extension, and it is identically the same for setup. It allows for more enhancements but it appears to use the web tools API as well. So this would not work either. As an added note USPS API support has informed me that the webtools API for usps will retire on January 25th 2026. So it would appear the USPS extension as well as the third party USPS extension would break. The newer USPS API uses a more secure authentication process that requires a consumer key as well as a consumer secret key, as opposed to just a login and password. Stuck in a ditch......However Thank you for your response.
