Support / search not working

Hi, i seem to have everything working, but the abante is a folder in my publichtml. so if you type in my url it shows INDEX OF and under abante. so website doesn't come up unless you click the hypertext word abante.
i tried moving files out of the abante folder into puplic html,. the website comes right up but after a bit it starts losing pictures and not working right. What should I do.
