Price deduction on product

Hi,

I am listing a product on my site. When I typed in the price, I put £5, and the price is showing £3.23!!
Does anyone know why or what is causing this??
How can I stop it?

Please check your currencies settings.  You probably don't have your desired currency set to the default value of 1.0000
