Social Icons Block

I would like to remove this block-   Social Icons

  design>blocks> html_block > Social Icons    i can not switch this status to off , It responds with  "Cannot change status because this block is not in use,Please visit layout section."

  Fresh install Obviously block "is" in use on layouts pages.

  Am I misunderstanding these interactions?

We have replicated this issue, and we can say that this is a cart bug. We will surely investigate on this problem, and include the fix on our next cart update.

For the meantime, if you want to disable the existing block, just select None at Design - Layout, where you can find the block is selected.

I know I should make new post but while I had you attention.....

As per documentation....System-Localization-Countries-

To refuse orders from certain countries and remove them from the customer registration's drop-down list, select status to OFF.

I have done this for all but 3 countries, yet I am able to choose all countries in customer registration process.

This of course causes issues in shipping flow..

You need to remove block in Admin-Design-Layouts first

So on a new install of 1.1.9

I will need to remove this from 2 places on 6 different pages correct?
