When trying to upgrade i get this message?

Error: Can't create sql dump of database during backup

Hello.

This error mean script cannot do database backup for some reason. There are many reasons for these (not enough RAM, timeout etc..) you may try to backup your database and files manually and then run upgrade manually http://docs.abantecart.com/pages/upgrade/manual.html
