drop down menu gone

my menu that started with the home button and the my categories and drop downs from them is gone since last upgrade and i cant get it back.  no blocks I add that are there make it come back.  Very frustration.  any idea what could have disappeared and how to get it back.

From what version to ... you are upgrading? Do you have any errors during upgrade or error in log after upgrade?
