Slow loading Site

I just finished setting up a new install for a client.. migrated their OsCommerce database just fine, complete with all the images. Awesome!

This same cart loaded in the browser just fine with OsCommerce, but now is taking up to a minute or so to load pages in AbanteCart. Any ideas?

I have gone into PHP Myadmin and optimized the tables and all looks good there.

Can you post details about your server? Do you have cache enabled? You can see if any cache files created in system/cache folder.
I see large number of manufacturers / brand loaded. Possibly this is causing the problem.

I sent you the cpanel and FTP info from my email that you responded to and requested:
"Can we have a copy of your database or access to your site FTP?"

This is related to problem I guessed before. You have 700 brands that are loaded to the block. There is a resource library (icon) missing for each manufacture.
This was overlooked for these condition.
