Weight Based Shipping not totaling weight of multiple item order

My cart appears to be working correctly but my most recent order came in with a status of "Failed". Checked paypal and money part of transaction was completed. It also appears the order was completed and I have all info needed to ship. The problem is the shipping charged on the order appears to be for 1 item and not 4. In addition, I think the shipping total for one item lower than it should be. I am more concerned about the failure to combine the weight of the 4 items.

PayPal payment extension can set order to Failed in 2 cases:
1. Completed transaction from PayPal to your site came too late. Try to install updated PayPal Std from upcoming 1.2.13 https://github.com/abantecart/abantecart-src/tree/1.2.13/public_html/extensions/default_pp_standart
2. Someone try to hack the form so data mismatch was detected

I have Display Weight on Cart enabled and I have cleared abante cache. Weight does not display and I still have the problem.

Check the product you add to cart. Make sure you set correct weight value as well as weight class.
And of course it should have Require Shipping enabled

I have checked all of those things. Shipping is set to required on all of the items shipped, weight class is sit to ounce in system and ounce class is chosen for the items shipped. The product weight is expressed in ounces.

If your cart page do not display any weight with Display Weight on Cart  enabled something is wrong.
Try to clear AbanteCart cache

I've cleared the abante many times but still no weight is displayed.

Trying to resolve this problem I was checking all settings. Manual says whatever is set to 1.00000000 is the default. Kilogram was set to 1.000000000. Tried to change ounce to 1.0000000 but system will not allow me to change it.

Default weight class is not important. Weight recalculated to the ounce or any you set in the product.

Do you have problem with all products? What exact value you enter when fill weight in product - .5 0.5 or 0,5 ?

While trying to resolve this problem I have reset all weights to pound weight class and enter oz weights as (ex: 1//4 pound = .25).

Cart seems to doing calculations now to account for multiple items and it is displaying shipment weight after shopping cart header on page.

I have multiple Domestic services selected, Priority, First Class and small, regular and large flat rate boxes. In testing it is not giving flat rate box options when I estimate shipping.
