To verify your website, follow these steps:

Paste the HTML tag in the HTML code of your site's home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section. See example

You will receive a confirmation email from Google Search Console and be able to continue to the next step (claim your website).

how do i add this code to header. i try creating a block html header and add it but google says

The meta tag on your site is in the wrong location

You need to edit your template file for example
