SEO URL not working

I followed the video provided on AbanteCart cart site and did accordingly changed the .htaccess file remover extension but it dont work
I am using BItnami AbanteCart cart and working locally

Did you turn on Use SEO URL's in Admin? Try System > Settings > System

for the local bitnami please check Bitnami docs because .htaccess file may not work in the Bitnami https://wiki.bitnami.com/Components/Apache/htaccess_configuration
