Migration from older Abante cart to fresh installation?

after having months of issues, and being unable to update (because c-panel/Installatron hates me?), and manual updates failing - I'm installing an entirely new version of Abante Cart - however, my old version/DBs are 1.3.2. While I did a full DB backup (the old site is still installed), I'm not certain that the old database will import into 1.4.3.
I would really love to not lose all my history (or have to re-load hundreds of products and options manually) - is there anything I can do, or am I just SOL?
I searched the forums, but can't locate anything that quite addresses my issue here.

No, you cannot use 1.3.4 database directly with 1.4.3

If you want to move to 1.4.3, the safer option is to export your products from 1.3.x and then import them back into a fresh 1.4.3 installation.

If you still have your 1.3.4 files and database, another option is to hire professionals to perform the upgrade for you. In that case, they may be able to migrate the store properly and preserve most of your existing data and setup.
