Hello,

Is it a must to know HTML coding to alter the design and appearance of the site? Most others just have an editor or site builder that you can change images, add things and add text. I can't find on on this platform.

Also, I only want to sell things in my country. Currently there is every single country ever on this platform. To delete them you have to delete all the zones first. To delete those you have to delete the countries, to delete the countries you have to delete the tax. Is there an easier and quicker way just to do this?

Hello,

You don't need to delete zones or countries. Instead, you can simply disable the countries you don't need. Additionally, you can configure your payment methods to accept transactions only from specific locations (one country).

Here is a concise reply addressing both of your questions:

1. Do you need HTML coding to change the design?

No, you do not need to code for basic changes, but the tools are limited. AbanteCart has a built-in Layout Manager (under Design → Layouts) that lets you drag and drop blocks and toggle elements without HTML . There is also a Page Builder plugin available, but it is still in Beta and the official documentation notes that you may need prior HTML/CSS knowledge to use it effectively . So for simple image or text edits, the native Layout Manager is your best bet. For deep design changes, some coding knowledge is usually expected.

2. Is there a quicker way to restrict sales to your country?

Yes, you do not need to delete zones or taxes. The official recommendation is to simply disable the countries you do not want to sell to by setting their status to OFF under System → Localization → Countries . Additionally, you can restrict your payment methods to only accept transactions from your specific country . This avoids the complicated deletion chain entirely.
