Why are my sales not showing up?

I'm trying to test my store. I order a product with a friends card to see what happens. The card is charged. They get a receipt email saying they paid... etc etc...

I get no notification on my end that someone bought something from my store, other than the email from 2checkout. I get nothing from my actual website, even though I have sale notification emails turned on. I go in the orders page on my admin pages and nothing is there. Reports-> sales page... nothing there.


What's up with this? I'm going to have some mad customers if I have people ordering and me never knowing they ordered...

Check you email settings in settings -> mail

If you use default mail protocol, make sure your server sends emails.
You can set up SMTP to send email from gmail or other email services.
