file upload problem

hi all
i cant seem to upload a file to abantecart i have looked in the error log and got this

AbanteCart core v.1.1.8 Illegal string offset 'show_to_customer' in <b>/home/html/admin/controller/responses/catalog/attribute.php</b> on line <b>239</b>

any one got  any ideards

Looks like incorrect data passed. Did you do any modifications? Where do you upload the file, storefront or admin?

i have not done any mods i am uploading from the admin
i have tried a zip file and the same file as a pdf but with no luck
i do not no any thing about code or coding i need some help please

download attributes does not linked to file. Your "error" is notice. Have you see uploaded file in resource library's file list popup on download edit form?
