remove images from category

Can someone please tell me how to remove the blank images from category, as when displayed down the side of the page there is not enough room, and i dont need them.

Go to Admin-System-Appearence and change Category List Width/Height to 1 px

As I just want a list with no picture.

I have just removed the no_image.jpeg file and now I have very small outlined boxes and dont know how to get rid.
