zones not mandatory

Hello,
can someone tell me how to make zones not to be a mandatory field when registering or making an order?
In my country we dont have these zones so i dont need this and i dont know what to put instead of zones (i can rename it because i am translation the whole website to my native language)
but it is still mandatory

Can't you just have one zone setup and selected all the time? What country is this?

Croatia. We have zones but they are not used when buying online and since this is a mandatory field it makes problems for me because customer has to choose a zone from the list.
I know i can rename them to anything but what is the point when is a mandatory

To remove zone from the code, is not hard, but I am not 100% certain that checkout process will not fall apart because of missing zone. This needs to be tested.

I seams like you are trying seriously crack down on customization of the cart. Do you know PHP?
