Hi,
Can anyone tell me why i receive this message "ajax error" when you press to add a product . when you press on a basket.

i noticed this happens only when i open my website with "www"

if i open just topducan.eu everything is fine but if i open www.topducan.eu then i have this ajax error ???

in system settings in admin i set my website without "www" so maybe this is a prolem but if i set "www". in system settings then i get this error when i open a website without "www"

any clues

i manually upgraded from 1.1.7 to 1.1.8 but i am having problems with upgrading sql because if some error which i have when importing in phpmyadmin.
Can this be because of this?

This error pops out only when you try to add a product without opening it (when you open a product and add it from inside then there is no this error)

thanks

Anything is possible. If you upgrade partly, we can not be sure. Inspect source of the error with Firebug.

i deaactivated SSL and no more ajax error. i think problem was because i activated SSL on my domain without www infront

gordontaylor

What type of security Certification do you have? What brand and what type?

llegrand

Gordon,  might want to check if that is a shared SSL -  he said something about free SSL with his site.

i received a free SSL with a 1year hosting plan which i paid around $100 for 1year. siteground.com hosting company.
is this kind of SSL a problem?

gordontaylor

That is exactly your issue. It's a shared SSL cert, and doesn't cover both straight URL and WWW

You'll need to buy something like GeoTrusts Rapid SSL. It covers both the alias and non-alias sides and it's also mobile compatible. You can get it for around 10 bucks most places.

popustda

you mean around $10 per month?

llegrand

I looked at SiteGround's offerings -  you need to ask your host these questions first:
1.  Do you have a dedicated IP?
2.  Do you have a private SSL  or a shared SSL?
3.  If private,  what domain address or addresses does the SSL cover?  www AND non-www or not.

Once you know the setup you have,  it will help determine if it needs something else,  or it is just a configuration issue.
