Wholesale, retail pricing

Hello,
I have a problem:
I want to show two different prices retail and wholesale price. Users in wholesale group only able to see wholesale price (upon successful login) else they'll see retail price. How this price differentiation on the basis of user group can be done??

Try creating a discount for each product by customer group under product promotion tab. Kind of a backwards way to do it but it works.

That's too difficult. I think instead, it would be easier to apply a discount of a certain percentage to the minimum order of any amount or more.
