will be great if we can sort by model inside store, and option to make it default in admin side.

if you're asking about having a model as a parameter for displaying your products in the storefront -  that's a shopper model that seems odd for most product sites.   There is an excellent search on the storefront and it does work on the model number.  Can you explain why you think having  model sort on the storefront would be useful to your customers?

But I do agree that with the Admin,  the ability to select a sort parameter and have it stay selected until released would be a great enhancement to product updating in the product grid.

my store is all around model number, so it's very important to me.
all products use model of numeration like this x1114, x1115, x1116....
I migrated from opencart, there exists that function.
